 Verified Une journée parfaite dans la vallée d’ourika Nous étions un groupe de 6 amis et Abdu nous a emmené dans un magnifique jardin botanique où nous étions seuls pour réaliser un cours de cuisine. Nous avons préparé nos tajines et avons déjeuné dans le magnifique jardin. C’était vraiment magique ! Nous avons ensuite fait une balade dans la vallée d’ourika. 2-Day Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga

Your 2-day Fes to Marrakech desert tour begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or riad in Fes.

We travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, with stops in Ifrane and the Cedar Forest near Azrou. Here, you may have the opportunity to see Barbary macaques among the cedar trees.

Continue toward Midelt, an important town in the Middle Atlas, before crossing the Tizi n’Talghemt Pass. The journey then takes you through the spectacular Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves, dramatic landscapes and traditional villages.

We continue toward Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. On arrival, you begin your camel trek across the Sahara Desert, riding through the golden dunes as the sun begins to set.

After reaching your luxury desert camp, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner followed by Berber music around the campfire beneath the stars.

Day 2: Merzouga → Rissani → Todra Region → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech

Wake early to experience a spectacular Sahara sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast at the camp, we leave Merzouga and begin the long journey toward Marrakech.

Depending on the route and available time, we pass through Rissani and continue toward the dramatic landscapes of southeastern Morocco. The journey takes us through the Todra and Dades regions before continuing toward Ouarzazate.

We then travel toward Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s famous fortified ksar and one of the country’s most recognizable cultural landmarks. You will have time for a short visit and photographs before continuing across the High Atlas Mountains.

Finally, we descend toward Marrakech, where we arrive in the evening and drop you off at your accommodation.

The remaining balance can be paid in cash (Euros, US Dollars, or Moroccan Dirhams) to your driver upon pick-up at the start of your tour. You may also choose to pay the full amount in advance via card or PayPal, though a standard transaction fee may apply.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that travel plans can change. Generally, if you cancel well in advance (two months or more), you will receive a full refund. Cancellations made closer to the departure date may be subject to partial refunds or fees, while last-minute cancellations within a week of the tour are typically non-refundable. Because the true Sahara Desert (like Merzouga or Zagora) is located quite far from major cities—for example, it is over 600 kilometers from Casablanca and involves a long drive over the Atlas Mountains from Marrakech—it cannot be done in a single day. To truly experience the magic of the dunes, we highly recommend a multi-day tour of at least 3 to 4 days.
